Layouts

MiniFy offers multiple layout options to fit different use cases and preferences. Choose the layout that works best for your workflow.

Layout A - Compact

Minimal footprint showing only essential information. Perfect for keeping in a corner of your screen.

Layout B - Standard

Balanced view with album art, track info, and playback controls.

Layout C - Expanded

Full-featured view with larger album art and additional track details.

The compact layout is designed for users who want minimal screen real estate usage.

Features:

  • Small, horizontal design
  • Track name and artist only
  • Essential playback controls
  • Minimal height (~50px)

Best for:

  • Multi-monitor setups
  • Always-on-top usage
  • Users who prefer minimal interfaces

The standard layout provides a balanced experience with all essential features visible.

Features:

  • Square album art
  • Track name and artist
  • Progress bar with time
  • Full playback controls
  • Volume slider

Best for:

  • General use
  • Desktop widgets
  • Most users

The expanded layout maximizes information display and visual appeal.

Features:

  • Large album art
  • Full track information
  • Progress bar with timestamps
  • Playback and volume controls
  • Additional metadata

Best for:

  • Music enthusiasts
  • Larger screen real estate
  • When you want to showcase the album art
  1. Right-click anywhere in MiniFy
  2. Hover over “Layout”
  3. Select your preferred layout
  1. Open Settings (Ctrl+, or ⌘+,)
  2. Navigate to the “Appearance” section
  3. Select your layout from the dropdown

Configure a keyboard shortcut to cycle through layouts in Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts.

Each layout has recommended window sizes:

Compact300 × 50 px
Standard300 × 150 px
Expanded350 × 350 px

The window can be resized freely, and the layout will adapt to the available space.
